The photographer Leonide Principe live in the Amazon since 1990. Until
2004 he made an Amazonian image bank of 40,000 colored slides. With the
advent of digital photography, he sold the entire analogue archive to
the Cultural Center of the Peoples of Amazonia and started a new digital
archive that today has more than 50,000 selected images, which are used
in the most part of Amazoniapedia photographs.
